Kwelano Bohloko says donations go a long way in upkeep of centre

Kwelano Bohloko's call to various stakeholders for any donations that will contribute towards the day to day running of the centre received positive feedback but they still need help.

POLOKWANE – Various organisations show appreciation to Kwelano Bohloko Old Age and Disability Centre by making donations on Mandela Day.

Kwelano Bohloko sent requests to various stakeholders for any donations that will contribute towards the day to day running of the centre and received positive feedback, however, they need help to continue to create a safe space with nutritious meals for the elderly and disabled in the Mankweng community.

Since the beginning of July, they have received donations from stakeholders like Age-in-Action, University of Limpopo office of vice chancellor and communication, Church on the Hill Polokwane, Netcare Pholosho Hospital, SAPS Mankweng and Ward 31 councillor Tebele Mamabolo.

They appeal to the public to continue to make donations in the form of office equipment and gardening tools to help with administration and gardening respectively. They appreciate donations of food for the elderly and monetary donations that will go towards stipend for volunteers.

“You’re also welcome to donate anything you deem useful to our project. You’ve made so much good happen at Kwelano Bohloko Old Age and Disability Centre and we are deeply grateful for your support. I hope you will continue your commitment to older persons by making a generous donation to our project. Your gift today makes a big difference today, tomorrow and every day,” said Andries Mokwalakwala, the administrator for Kwelano Bohloko.
