Applications open for street trading permits

Street traders are now invited to apply for street trading permits.

POLOKWANE – The application forms for street trading permits within the Polokwane Municipality are available for collection until August 15 at the Civic Centre (corner Landdros Maré and Bodenstein streets: permit office or ED&T offices), Itsoseng Entrepreneurial Centre and all Polokwane municipal libraries.

Returned application forms should be accompanied by proof of residence and a certified copy of South African identity document.

The invitation to apply is extended to street traders who have previously applied but were unsuccessful.

Thipa Selala, spokesperson for the Polokwane Municipality, explained that in instances that applications are unsuccessful, street trading by-laws are taken into account.
