Seshego woman arrested after police find dagga in her wardrobe

Dagga with an estimated street value of R2 000 was confiscated during her arrest.

POLOKWANE – A  48-year-old woman from Seshego will appear before the Seshego Magistrate’s Court on charges of possession and dealing in dagga following her recent arrest.

The woman was one of 1 164 people arrested during Limpopo police operations that were conducted between June 5-12.

Police spokesperson Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo said police were conducting patrol duties when they received a tip-off abouta woman selling dagga at her house in Seshego.

“The house was searched upon arrival and police discovered two bags of compressed dagga with an estimated street value of R2 000 hidden in her wardrobe,” he said.

Mojapelo said the woman was immediately arrested on the scene.

Meanwhile, a 46-year-old man was arrested in Lebowakgomo for also dealing drugs from his rental room.

“Members of the Limpopo Highway Patrol (LHP) were patrolling the Lebowakgomo policing area when they received information about the male suspect. On their arrival permission was granted to search the room and police discovered 17 blue sachets of nyaope and three plastic bags with rock drugs and cash money.”

Mojapelo said the man was arrested after admitting that he got the money from dealing in drugs.
