LIMPOPO – A Limpopo woman will next appear before the Specialised Commercial Crimes Court on June 20 for sentencing after being found guilty of R1.6 million fraud.

Provincial Hawks spokesperson Captain Matimba Maluleke said Annelize Holtzhausen was employed as the financial administration manager at the Zandspruit Homeowners Association NPC in Hoedspruit between January 28, 2019 and October 24, 2019 and was responsible for paying service providers for services rendered at the company.

“Instead of paying money to the service providers for rendered services, she created fictitious claims and transferred the money into her own bank account as well as her husband’s account. These fraudulent activities were discovered when the company was audited,” he said.

A case of fraud was opened and referred to the Hawks’ Serious Commercial Crime Investigation for further probe.
