RTMC chief communication officer Simon Zwane said RTMC centres are open seven days a week from 07:00 to 21:00 and applicants are encouraged to take advantage of shorter queues and collect on Friday’s, Saturday’s and Sunday’s.

“The DLCA has reported that it is working 24 hour shifts to fasttrack the printing of driving licence cards. It says it has produced 919 000 cards since January 20, 2022 and remains on course to clear the backlog of application by the end of June,” a statement read.
