Bet-Shalom learners on what makes mom so special

From delicious cooked meals, hard work, protection and endless love, learners share why they love their moms this Mother's Day.

POLOKWANE – A mother‘s love for her child is like nothing else in the world and this Mother’s Day, Gr 3 and Gr 4 learners from Bet-Shalom Christian School share what they they appreciate about their mothers and what they love the most about them.

Tebogo Thosago (Gr 4): The food my mom cooks everyday is so delicious, she’s the best chef. She’s so special to me because she protects me and cares so much about me. I return the love and care back to her by preparing tea for her sometimes and buy her sweets at school. I know that it’s not big gifts, but she always tells me that ‘it’s the thought that counts’.
Brian Ledwaba (Gr 4): There are no words to describe how much I love my Mom. I love her above and beyond because she works so hard for me to make sure that I do not go to bed hungry. I appreciate her a lot and again words can’t describe it.
Lizalise Gqodo (Gr 4): I love being spoiled by my Mom. I feel loved every time I’m with her because she shows me unconditional love every day regardless of any mood she’s in. She helps me with my homework after school and she always makes sure that I eat before I sleep. The special thing about her is that she makes sure that my school fees is always paid.
Cahira Davids (Gr 3): My Mom is fun to spend time with and I love her so much because she always makes me very happy. She loves buying me a lot of things like food and clothes, and she always gives me hugs and kisses, that makes me feel even more loved. To celebrate her, I will get some help and throw a party for her to thank her for every single thing she has done for me.
Katlego Sekome (Gr 3): What’s special about my mom is that she loves my brother and I very much. I appreciate her every day and I just want to keep her happy at all times. I don’t want to see her sad because when she’s happy we’re happy too. I love her so much and I would like to get her a beautiful gift on Mother’s Day because she takes very good care of my brother and I.
Bell Kekana (Gr 3): My mother is special to me because she does everything for me that I need. To know that I’m her child makes me feel so special in so many ways. On Mother’s Day I’m going to get her a big thank you gift that I will make myself. And I will also give her a big hug to appreciate her for working so hard for me
