Here’s what toll fees will cost to and from Polokwane this long weekend

An influx of visitors to Polokwane and Limpopo is expected this long weekend for religious and leisure purposes. 

POLOKWANE – Many motorists will be preparing for the long drive between Pretoria and Polokwane and to other parts of Limpopo this long weekend.

Thousands of motorists make use of the N1 on a daily basis and the long weekend is no exception, with high traffic volumes expected between Gauteng and Musina via Polokwane and the R71 between Polokwane and Tzaneen.

The six main toll gates on this route include Nyl, Kranskop, Carousel and Pumulani going south and the Baobab and Capricorn when travelling north.

A round trip from Polokwane to Pretoria will cost R382 while a roundtrip from Pretoria to Musina will cost you R587. We break down the N1 tolls for you:

Law enforcement is expected to ramp up visibility with the Limpopo Department of Transport launching their Arrive Alive Easter Road Safety Campaign last Friday.

Transport media liaison officer Mike Maringa said higher traffic volumes on national and provincial roads is also expected following the easing of lockdown regulations and the end of the state of disaster.
