The man behind Chuck Chilli Foods, Tshilidzi Mulovhedzi said there are many health benefits that come with eating his homemade products. 

POLOKWANE – Made from fresh chillies with a secret recipe, Boikano Sikwane’s homemade condiment is the best compliment to any meal.

Chuck Chilli is manufactured in Gauteng and has distributors and retailers across the country. 

One of their distributors is Penina Park resident Tshilidzi Mulovhedzi, who sells the product at flea markets and to residents under the name Chuck Chilli Foods and describes it as a unique addition to your plate.

Tshilidzi said one of the main reasons for venturing into the business is the health benefits that come from eating chillies.

“My research has shown that whether hot or mild, chillies are rich in Vitamin C and antioxidants,” he said. Tshilidzi added that chillies can also assist with weight loss and that his products boost one’s metabolism and digestive health.

“I’ve found that chillies help fight infection and bacteria in the body and heep the heart healthy,” he said.

Chuck Chillies costs R70 per bottle and comes in three different flavours: Original, mild and hot.

“We make different flavours to suit our customer’s taste buds, and before they buy, we let all our customers taste,” he said.
