POLOKWANE – The Polokwane Municipality says water supply from Sand River North boreholes to the Potgieter reservoir has been interrupted due to a power failure.
Municipal Spokesperson, Thipa Selala says their electrical team is locating the fault and working on restoring power supply to the boreholes.
“As a result, water supply to Annadale, Nirvana, Madiba Park and the Extension has been affected. The Bendor area is also affected because the Krugersburg reservoir is sitting at 0%,” he said.
Selala added that the municipality will continue to monitor areas that are without water and provide temporary relief through water tankers.
“Areas receiving supply are urged to use water sparingly,” he said.
