Mogodi told BONUS that he hopes the donation will assist junior and aspiring cricketers in Seshego in realising their full potential as cricketers.

“I grew up in Seshego and I played for the club so I found it befitting to give back. The club is in need of equipment and related resources and I hope the donation will help in that regard.”

Life president of the club, Jack Senatla thanked Mogodi for supporting the club and its development goals.

“He is a product of the club and we appreciate his support.”

The money will play a pivotal role in growing the sporting code in the area as well as in our ambition of producing top cricketers from the club.

Senatla urged other businesses to follow suit and support the club.

“We cater for young, ambitious cricketers from destitute and impoverished families in the area. Most of them don’t have the needed equipment and apparel and we need corporates and businesses to come on board and help these youngsters realise their dreams.”

The club has over the years produced the likes of Volvo Masubelele, Proteas team manager, Sedibu Mohlaba and Proteas conditioning coach, Tumi Masekela.
