Man and female companion found dead in ‘bullet-riddled’ vehicle

Preliminary investigations indicate the victims had been pursued by another vehicle and then shot.

LIMPOPO – The police in Musina have requested the assistance of the public to locate those responsible for the murder of a 44-year-old man and his female companion.

The bodies of the deceased were found near a vehicle in the bushes next to the Campbell road in Musina on Wednesday morning (February 2) at around 08:00.

Police spokesperson Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo said police received information about the discovery of two bodies lying near a silver grey bakkie. “The officers reacted and on arrival at the scene found the body of one of the deceased lying on the ground next to the passenger side of the said vehicle. “The body of the second victim was found half way out the driver’s door.”

Mojapelo said preliminary investigations indicated that the victims may have been pursued by suspects in another vehicle and then shot at. “Their vehicle apparently swerved into the bushes, went through the fence and came to a stop,” he added.

The deceased have been identified as Meshack Ndou (44) and a woman only known as Anna, Mojapelo said.

“The motive behind the double murder is unknown at this stage and the police urge anyone with information about the incident or the suspects involved, to contact Lieutenant Colonel Meshack Mamohoyi on 082 414 6683.”

Alternatively they can also contact the 24-hour Crime Stop number on 086 001 0111 or their nearest police station.
