One killed in crash on R101 south of Polokwane

The exact cause of the collision is not yet known however speeding and reckless driving has not been ruled out.

POLOKWANE – A man in his 50s died after two vehicles collided on the R101 road south of Polokwane.

The incident happened approximately 13km south of Polokwane at 10:00 on Saturday (January 30).

Media liaison officer for the department of Transport and Safety Mike Maringa says the incident involved two sedans.

“It is alleged a first sedan crash into the rear end of the second sedan. A man in his 50s died on the scene.”

The exact cause of the collision is not yet known however speeding and reckless driving has not been ruled out.
