The Polokwane Municipality has cancelled the seven-hour power supply outage that was scheduled for Saturday (January 8).

POLOKWANE – The Polokwane Municipality has cancelled the seven-hour power supply outage that was scheduled for Saturday (January 8).

POLOKWANE – A large part of the Polokwane municipal area will be without power for seven hours on Saturday (January 8).

Municipal spokesperson Tipa Selala said in a statement that the outage is to allow for emergency maintenance on burnt panels at the Delta Substation.

“The outage will be implemented between 07:00 and 14:00. Electricity supply shall be restored once the municipal team has completed the maintenance work, and all affected areas are advised to treat electrical wiring as live during maintenance work and to switch off all appliances to avoid injury and damage once power supply is restored. All users are urged to use electricity wisely,” he explained.
