‘No Covid-19 patient day’ celebrated at Mediclinic Limpopo

Mediclinic Limpopo discharged its last Covid-19 patient recently and celebrated their official 'no Covid-19 patient day' on November 11.

POLOKWANE – The hospital held a session on the premises where the hospital manager, MC Botha addressed staff who had all gathered with blue and white balloons to resemble the symbols of peace, calmness, serenity, freshness and sensitivity.

An important guest on the day was a former patient of Mediclinic Limpopo, Laston Murerwa who spent more than 60 days in ICU and was recently discharged.

“I would like to thank Mediclinic for all their help, support and care while I was admitted. I felt like I was at home because every nurse and doctor knew me. Whenever they changed shifts, I didn’t even need an introduction, they knew me already and made me feel cared for until I was discharged. So thank you from the bottom of my heart,” Laston said.

Botha thanked the staff for their hard work and perseverance.

“We thank God that we’re able to celebrate this day today. Thank you for your commitment through the pandemic,” he remarked.
