Mediclinic Limpopo to open doors for weekend vaccinations

This is part of the National Department of Health and B4SA Vooma Vaccination drive.

POLOKWANE – Residents are urged to roll up their sleeves this weekend and visit Mediclinic Limpopo to receive their Covid-19 jab.

MC Botha, Hospital General Manager of Mediclinic Limpopo says the hospital will once again open their doors over the weekend as part of the national Vooma Vaccination drive.  “Mediclinic Southern Africa will once again be joining the Vooma Vaccination initiative of the National Department of Health and B4SA, calling on South Africans to take up the opportunity to protect themselves before the expected fourth wave due later this year.”

Botha said the vaccination drive will take place from Friday (November 12) to Saturday (November 13) at the vaccination centre situated at 55 Burger Street. He invited all eligible persons from 12 years and older (insured and uninsured) to take advantage of this opportunity.

“The centre will be open from 08:00 – 16:00 Friday and 08:00 -14:00 on Saturday. If you have not received your second Pfizer dose, or if you have not yet been vaccinated, please visit our website and book an appointment now,” he added.

Mediclinic supports the vaccination process based on research around current vaccines that provides a strong indication of the dramatic impact the vaccines offer as protection against severe illness and the risk of death. Mediclinic has administered more than 280 000 vaccines to community members.

“We believe that by vaccinating, we can protect ourselves, our community, and dramatically reduce the risk for all, especially during the festive season. Act now and reap the benefit as we look at the possibility of a more open community, while our health is better protected,” he concluded.
