Bereneke’s heart lies with disabled children

As the mother of a disabled child, Bereneke Beukes Langenhoven hopes to make a difference in the lives of other disabled children.

POLOKWANE – Bereneke Beukes Langenhoven is a semi-finalist for Mrs Limpopo Province 2022 and a part of Ace Models Limpopo. “My project for the competition is to help disabled children cope in our modern life. My own daughter taught me many things that I would never have learned in any other way.”

Bereneke plans to gain more knowledge and insight on how other countries handle their disabled children. “I want to bring that knowledge not only to Limpopo but to South Africa, as I believe to always start closest to home and work your way outwards. I have a dream and a vision for our province. I am strong, fierce and dedicated to make changes in the province where needed, not only for disabled children, but for all children who have to live in poverty, are abused or are orphans.”

As a mother of four children, Bereneke enjoys time with her family. She also loves to be active and to hike mountains.

“I believe in treating others the way you want to be treated. I have a passion for disabled children and strive to make a difference in their lives. My project for Mrs Limpopo Province 2022 will be to get more involved in our disabled community and assist children in need.”
