VIDEO: Polokwane Mayor’s message to Moti family

Executive Mayor, John Mpe says the municipality is working with law enforcement to ensure the safe return of Zidan (6), Zayyad (11), Alaan (13) and Zia (15) Moti. 

POLOKWANE – The Executive Mayor of Polokwane, John Mpe says he is saddened by the news of the kidnapping of the four Moti brothers. 

Mpe spoke at Fusion Boutique Hotel on Friday afternoon after the filming of Review’s “Politics under Review” engagement session. 

“We are saddened because children are our most precious gifts and their safety is our concern. We are on the side of the Moti family. We are praying for the children to be brought back alive and healthy,” he said. 

Mpe added that the city is working with law enforcement to ensure the brothers are brought back safely and encouraged the community to come forth with valuable information should they have any.

“We will support any effort to do everything in our power to get the children back. We are sorry that their family is going through this hardship but at all times, they should remember that the city is on their side and with them.”

Two days have passed since the four brothers were forcefully taken on their way to school, and the family is yet to receive word of their whereabouts or well-being.

The Moti family, according to their lawyer Phillip Smit, has still not received any news on where their sons have been taken to.
