Kidnapping: ‘Pray, pray, pray’

Sources close to the investigation have confirmed that the four Moti brothers who were abducted on Wednesday morning are yet to return home safely.

POLOKWANE – Two days have passed since the four Moti brothers were forcefully taken on their way to school, and the family is yet to receive word of their whereabouts or well-being.

The Moti family, according to their lawyer Phillip Smit, has still not received any news on where their sons Zidan (6), Zayyad (11), Alaan (13) and Zia (15) have been taken to.

In a radio interview yesterday, Smit asked for the community to keep the family in their prayers. He said they remained hopeful that their sons will return home safely. “All we want is for the boys to come home. Pray, pray, pray.”

Police spokesperson Brig Motlafela Mojapelo confirmed to Review this morning that the boys are yet to be returned, and that the police have roped in the support of a number of specialised units. Mojapelo said that no new information is available.

Yesterday, Limpopo Premier Stanley Chupu Mathabatha visited the Moti family accompanied by the MECs for Safety and Social Development. He reiterated that law enforcement will ensure that no stone will be left unturned in bringing the perpetrators to book.

Anyone with information or CCTV footage are urged to contact their nearest police station or Capt Rasedile on 082 565 8566.
