Get your Covid-19 jab at Mediclinic Limpopo this weekend

We believe that by vaccinating and reaching the 70% target, we can protect ourselves, our community and dramatically reduce the potential impact of a fourth wave expected later in the year, says Hospital Manager MC Botha.

POLOKWANE –  Mediclinic Limpopo will join an initiative by the Department of Health and Business for SA to open their vaccination site on a weekend.

Residents have been urged to take advantage of this opportunity as the vaccination site will be open on October 1 and 2, in order to make the process even more accessible.

“Mediclinic unequivocally supports the vaccination process based on evidence-led research around current vaccines that provides a strong indication of the dramatic impact the vaccine offers as protection against severe illness and the risk of death.

This has been demonstrated by many different Covid-19 vaccines and in a number of countries. Many leaders in our community have also supported this drive such as former Springbok captain John Smit and former Miss South Africa Dr Tamaryn Green,” a statement by Mediclinic reads.

Hospital Manager MC Botha told Review that residents need to register on the Electronic Vaccination Data System if they have not already done so.

“We believe that by vaccinating and reaching the 70% target, we can protect ourselves, our community and dramatically reduce the potential impact of a fourth wave expected later in the year. We encourage our community to act now and reap the benefit as we look at the possibility of a more open community, where our health is better protected.

Please visit our vaccination centre situated at 55 Burger Street,” explained Botha.

Mediclinic Limpopo is a Johnson & Johnson vaccination centre and residents are urged to book online at www.mediclinic.co.za.
