Take advantage of level 2 and travel Limpopo

Limpopo Department of Economic Development, Environment and Tourism spokesperson Zaid Kalla has encouraged people to take advantage of this opportunity to travel and explore the province.

POLOKWANE – The Limpopo Department of Economic Development, Environment and Tourism welcomed the move to level 2 lockdown that was announced by President Cyril Ramaphosa. This comes after more than three months of lockdown level 3 and 4.

Departmental spokesperson Zaid Kalla says the department is excited and welcomes the easing of restrictions as the tourism sector is always one of those negatively affected by lockdown regulations and the restrictions that come with it.

He says that the relaxation of the lockdown regulations will allow people to experience their Tourism Month activities. He has encouraged people to take advantage of this opportunity to travel and explore the province.

“People will be able to tour the province and fully engage in all activities provided by our sector. In level two we are expecting an increased number of family and outdoor activities. Let’s reap all social benefits that come with the easing of restrictions.”

Kalla has encouraged citizens to however, remain cautious and responsible. “The festive season is fast approaching and last year we were restricted to our yards. We don’t want to go there, drink and party responsibly. Take a short left and enjoy Limpopo.

“The department held some of its Tourism Month activities by exploring the province in the Sekhukhune District earlier this month.

Kalla says the department will be looking at increasing their activities for the month.
