High traffic volumes still expected

The department on Thursday reported an influx of traffic moving from Gauteng to Limpopo along the N1 and R101 roads. While On Friday queues of several kilometres were reported at the Nyl and Kranskop toll plazas.

Despite the traffic volumes less incidents were reported. ‘We thank our motorists for their patience and cooperation with their fellow road users and for adhering to the rules of the road.”

Moremi-Taueatsoala warned road users that high traffic volumes are also expected today (September 25) and said that traffic officers will be deployed along major routes, especially the R71 road.
