[PHOTOS] Valentia wears the Mrs Limpopo crown

Valentia Chuene was crowned Mrs Limpopo 2021/22 at Golden Pillow on September 11.

POLOKWANE – Mrs Limpopo is an annual purpose-driven pageant where looks alone are not enough to win the title.

There are no height or weight restrictions, however, the contestants need to be well groomed. The search is for someone with the passion for making a difference in the community as well as the skills to lead different initiatives and projects.

Mrs Limpopo 2019/20 and pageant director 2021, Lize Botha explained that every year, all the contestants are remarkably beautiful hence it is important to look beyond the physical appearance and find the qualities that they bring to the table.

“We were looking at what they are doing for the community and how they will lead in their year of reign.

We want someone who is ready to get down and dirty doing the hard work, serving the people,” she said.

Valentia said that she is excited to win the title and is looking forward to the journey.

“I am super excited and still trying to digest the process and my title. I am still in disbelief yet very humbled by the love and support that I received from my friends, family and the people of Limpopo. I am looking forward to my reigning year. I can see that the challenging part of the pageant is not before the crowning but after, however, I am so excited to share my knowledge with Limpopo and use my skills to help empower our youth and the province at large,” she said.

One of the first things that she plans to do is to have an introduction tour around the province to celebrate the crown.
