Clothes donation brings smiles

Mrs Limpopo 2022 second princess Jolene du Bruyn donated clothes to the Polokwane Child and Family Care Society last Monday.

POLOKWANE – At the time, she was still a finalist of the popular pageant of which the crowning took place over the weekend.

Jolene was lost for words during the crowning as second princess. Her husband Danie and children Jodan, Maruzel and Aydan were present to support her throughout the journey.

While she was a finalist Jolene came to a realisation that the children were in need of clothes as most of them have outgrown their old clothes.

“I then decided to ask residents to donate clothes and delivered it to the institution.

It was so heart-warming to see smiles on the children’s faces,” she said.

Social worker at the institution, Lorette Bosch happily received the clothes and was grateful for the love and care from the residents.

The centre provides children with the opportunity to grow up in a healthy family environment and to reach their full potential by utilising resources unique to the centre.

“I would like to thank each and every individual who made this initiative come together by donating clothes for me to be able to bring it here and make the children happy,” Jolene said.
