Limpopo police appeal for help to find missing Tzaneen man

A tracker company traced his vehicle to Mpumalanga before the signal was lost.

POLOKWANE –  Provincial police need help to locate Oupa Makou Powana.

The 44-year-old man from Ga-Sekororo village outside Tzaneen was last heard from at around 20:00 on Friday (September 10). 

Powana was working in the Lebowakgomo area for a construction company and was temporarily renting a room at Mamaolo village in Ga-Mphahlele. He had earlier informed his employer he was going home for the weekend, said police spokesperson Lt Col Mamphaswa Seabi.

“This morning (September 11) his wife received a phone call from a tracker company enquiring about his vehicle, a Toyota Hilux. They had attempted to contact him but said his cellphone was on voicemail.”

Seabi said according to the victim’s wife the company tracked his vehicle to Mpumalanga, heading to Gauteng, when the signal was turned off.

“Further attempts to locate the victim at friends and relatives have been unsuccessful,” he added.
