Michelle takes food lovers on a journey

Michelle Ramonyai takes you on a food journey although the 29-year-old has no formal culinary training.

POLOKWANE – She has the ability to work magic in the kitchen and is the founder of The Food Journey.

Despite the BCom economics graduate’s lack of formal experience with food, she has passion and drive which helped her found her niche once she started.

She has always loved cooking and her firm believe that food has to look as good as it tastes garnered her followers on social media.

“I would make videos of me preparing the food and then post them online, which seems to appeal to people. I give every meal I prepare a personal touch,” she said.

Michelle chose the name for her business because it best describes what she does. She takes you along on a journey of discovery in the culinary industry and allows her clients to learn with her as she experiments with different tastes and textures to suit different palates.

“I am happy with the progress I have made thus far. I work hard to grow the business into a brand that will be among the most recognisable in the country,” she said.

Like every business, there are bound to be challenges which she welcomes because they are a learning opportunity. She invites you to join her on this journey led by food.

“Let the flavour lead you,” she said.
