Limpopo: Body of girl (6) found in neighbour’s house
Bokamoso Tjabadi's body was found less than 24 hours after she was reported missing.
LIMPOPO – The 35-year-old neighbour of Bokamoso Tjabadi (6) has been arrested after her body was found in his house.
A statement by police spokesperson Brig Motlafela Mojapelo indicates that Tjabadi was reported missing on Sunday night (August 29).

“The police immediately commenced with a search operation, assisted by community members. The operation was conducted throughout the night and covered the entire Phokoane village, under the Nebo policing area in the Sekhukhune district, without any success,” he explains.
Mojapelo says a decision was made to search all the houses in the village on Monday morning. “We started with the neighbours’ houses. One of the neighbours refused to grant anyone access to his house but entry was forcefully made. The child was then found dead in the house with no visible injuries,” he adds.
The man was arrested and is expected to appear in the Nebo Magistrate’s Court soon.
“A post mortem will be conducted to determine how the child was killed. The motive for this incident is unknown at this stage but the possibility of attempting to cover up another crime such as rape cannot be ruled out,” he concludes.
Provincial police commissioner Lt Gen Thembi Hadebe applauded the arrest.
“As members of the South African Police Service, we are more than determined to double our efforts to completely eradicate crimes perpetrated against women and children,” she adds.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a heightened search operation for the Raphasha siblings continue.
“Our members have clear instructions to act relentlessly against anyone targeting the most vulnerable people in society.” concludes Hadebe.
