Kruinies share the love

Mr and Miss Heuwelkruin has become synonymous with finalists who have to plough back into the local community.

POLOKWANE – Among themselves they also have to do community work which previously saw finalists get down and dirty at some charity organisations or institutions.

The finalists work together in groups of four to help make a difference in the community ahead of the crowing later this year. A group that consisted of Wilmerie Pretorius, Patricia Manyowa, Dale Ewart and Ramon Tamayo asked their fellow learners to donate clothes and non-perishable food which were collected from the classes last Thursday and Friday.

The classes who contributed the most towards the initiative will be spoiled with doughnuts. They are the Peacock class at the Kiewiete, Gr 2A and Gr 2E1 in the category for Gr 1 to Gr 3, and Gr 7A for the category of Gr 4 to Gr7.

The finalists donated the items to Ngwana Baby House and Ivydale Hulpsentrum.
