Covid-19: Get vaccinated at Christ Church Cathedral today

Staff from the Pietersburg Provincial Hospital have been on site since 11:00.

POLOKWANE – Eligible residents are welcome to visit the Christ Church Cathedral today to get their Covid-19 jab.

In an effort to drive the city’s vaccination rate, the Limpopo Department of Health today (August 18) is leading a team of vaccinators to the church to give residents who are living and working in the area an opportunity to get vaccinated.

“Staff from the Pietersburg Provincial Hospital will be administering the Johnson & Johnson vaccine in the church hall from 11:00 today. All eligible residents are welcome,” says Rev Rendani Mudau. 

Please remember to bring your ID or passport for non citizens and medical aid card (if you have one) , if you do not have you are still welcome to register.

The church is located at 82 Biccard Street.

Register on the EVDS and book your appointment:

  • Online by visiting vaccine.enroll.gov.za 
  • Send a WhatsApp saying “REGISTER” to 0600 123 456
  • SMS *134*832* followed by your ID number
  • Contact the Covid-19 hotline on 0800 029 999.

What do you need to bring along to the vaccination station?

  • Proof of identity (e.g. ID/driver’s license/passport)
  • Medical aid card
  • Vaccine code (SMS received from the Department of Health)

The department will also vaccination drives at Jumbo Cash and Carry on August 19 and at the Game Centre on August 20.
