POLOKWANE – A 37-year-old man was hospitalised after a 2-vehicle traffic incident along the N1 bypass on Tuesday (August 10) at around 20:00.
The incident involved a truck and sedan and according to reports the truck overturned, blocking the off-ramp onto the R81.
According to ER24 the driver of the truck, a 37-year-old man, sustained moderate injuries and paramedics treated him on the scene before he was transported to a hospital.
The occupants from the sedan were uninjured, ER24 concluded.
Emergency services, police, traffic and fire services were on the scene.
The exact cause of the incident is not yet known.

[TAKE NOTE] Overturned truck on N1 bypass
POLOKWANE – An overturned truck has partly blocked the N1 bypass that runs adjacent to the Mall of the North.
According to reports an interlink truck overturned and blocked the roadway. Traffic is backed-up in both directions and motorists are advised to use alternative routes where possible.
Emergency services and traffic police are still on the scene.
