POLOKWANE – The Polokwane Municipality’s Spokesperson, Thipa Selala, informed residents and businesses of a planned electricity supply interruption, which has been scheduled from Sunday (August 8) from 08:00 – 12 :00.
“The power outage is to allow for an urgent maintenance work to be conducted on the system,” Selala said.
He said power supply shall be restored once the Energy Services team has completed the work.
“All affected areas are advised to treat electrical wiring as live and to switch off all appliances during the downtime, to avoid injury and damage once power supply is restored,” Selala added.
Affected areas include:
- Bendor
- Celtic Meadows
- East of McDonald Street in Fauna Park and Flora Park
- Eduan Park
- Industria
- Laboria
- Ladanna
- Ladine
- Le Roux Ville
- Magna Via
- Mall of the North
- Savannah Mall
- Serala View
- Sterpark
- Thornhill
- Eskom’s Turfloop line that feeds to Dalmada and surrounding areas
- Waterberry, and
- Welgelegen.
