The Ranch to serve as vaccination site for 1 day

On Monday (August 2) The Ranch will double as a Covid-19 vaccination site which will be separated from the hotel's normal operations.

POLOKWANE – General manager at The Ranch, Paul Shearer says they offered to cater to the community out of good will and the site will be separated from the hotel, allowing both to run simultaneously.

“Health MEC Dr Phophi Ramathuba has confirmed that The Ranch will be open as a vaccination site on Monday from 11:00 just for one day. We have not determined how many patients we will be able to vaccinate but anyone who comes for vaccinations will not be sent away. We are urging employers in the neighbouring farms and plots along with the community at large to bring their employees who are over the age of 35 years and registered to vaccinate.”

He says that the vaccination site will run on the same guidelines as any other vaccination site.

Thilivhali Muavha, the MEC’s spokesperson has confirmed this and said that it is part of their community outreach drive in order to fast track the vaccine rollout plan.

The vaccines to be administered will be the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, Muavha concluded.
