[WATCH] ‘We will bring the Covid-19 vaccine to you’

Limpopo Health MEC Dr Phophi Ramathuba visited the Mall of the North today to vaccinate eligible residents.

POLOKWANE – Residents over the age of 35 stood in a queue at Mall of the North today to receive their Covid-19 vaccine.

Over the past few weeks, local residents have been lining up to be vaccinated at state institutions and private healthcare facilities.

“By bringing the vaccine to the people at the mall we can access the workers who cannot stand for hours in a queue,” the MEC explained.

The initiative was part of an ongoing outreach vaccination program by the department to fight against virus in the province and saw over 600 residents receive their Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Review spoke to two residents who had received their jab. This is what they had to say:

During the visit, Ramathuba walked through the mall and encouraged residents who are 35 years old and over to get the vaccine.

“Remember vaccination saves lives. It is the right thing to do,” she concluded.
