Rotarians’ attendance awarded
Outgoing president of the Rotary Club of Pietersburg 100, Naas Vorster handed over certificates to Rotarians for obtaining 100% attendance of club meetings for July 2020 to June 2021.
POLOKWANE – Outgoing president of the Rotary Club of Pietersburg 100, Naas Vorster closed his 2020/21 presidential year when he handed over certificates to Rotarians Horst Meyer, Klaus Rabiega, John Kirkpatrick and John Dunlevey and himself for obtaining 100% attendance of club meetings for July 2020 to June 2021.
Vorster said participation in club meetings is not the only responsibility of members, but that regular attendance of meetings demonstrates their diligence and is also reflected in their support and hard work relating to projects and club activities.
“Most of the Rotarians regard the Thursday evening meetings as a highlight of their social activities for the week and only miss out on the fellowship under exceptional circumstances. The pandemic hit us hard and although the Zoom meetings meet its purpose, it is just not the same,” he said.
