The adrenaline rush keeps Master P on the road

Avid biker, Pappies Master P Poto says the excitement you get from riding a bike is something that you cannot get from a car.

POLOKWANE – Avid biker, Pappies Master P Poto from Emdo Park is a member of the Unicorn Riders Motorbike Club. Master P owns a 2013, BMW RR S 1000 and said growing up being exposed to the model led to him falling in love with the motorbike.

Even though it was not his first bike, having started off with a Big Boy 250cc in 2012, Master P decided to spoil himself with the BMW RR S upon returning to biking after taking a break.

“This bike is a beast and I love the features that come with it: traction control, horse power, speed and the ability to stop quickly. The performance and comfort is something that you cannot get anywhere. I hope to upgrade to the new model soon,” he said.

He added that he rides for fun and that he spends his weekends taking road trips or practicing on the track. “The wind, adrenaline rush and the excitement you get from riding a bike is something that you cannot get from a car,” he said.

He told BONUS that the furthest he has rode on his RR S 1000 was to all the tourism attractions in Mpumalanga in November 2019.

“We rode more than 10 000kms in total in just two days,” he said. Master P says he had to change his tyres in February, which set him back R5 000 each and he added that he services his bike every 10 000kms.

“I spend a lot on tyres because I change them every 5 000kms,” he said. He urges motorists to get to know bikers better and remember that bikers are motorists too.

“We are at a higher risk on the roads, so every time we see the possibility of being knocked down, we take offence because we have lost many bikers on the road.

I would advise motorists to look in the mirror and indicate before changing lanes,” he said.
