PnP gives hope, donates food parcels to learners

Flora Park Comprehensive High School was recently given hope through a donation of food parcels that was made by Pick n Pay Mall of the North.

POLOKWANE – Twenty learners received parcels valued at R500 each. Pick n Pay Store Manager, Thomas Rikhotso said that they select various entities as part of their social responsibility, and last month they donated to the elderly.

The school was selected after research was done and learners from the school were identified to be from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Rikhotso further explained that the initiative was their way of saying thank you for the support that the store continues to receive.

“Today is our opportunity to thank you for supporting us in growing our business. When you buy from us, we have the power to do more similar initiatives,” he said.

Principal Joseph Ntsiene Masekela, said that although the school is located in the city, they have learners who are in need. “The school had the task of identifying the learners in need for parcels.

I thank Pick n Pay for their wonderful work and may the relationship with the school grow fonder,” he said.
