POLOKWANE – Nneke Ledwaba will go into retirement after having served as police commissioner since 2016. His legacy will be celebrated on Thursday, 29 April, through a parade in the city. The event will be attended by deputy provincial police commissioners, the provincial portfolio committee on police and management personnel from all levels of command across the province.
The provincial chairpersons of both the Community Policing Forum (CPF) and Community Safety Forum (CSF) will also be in attendance.
The parade will start at 09:00 at the park adjacent to the SABC’s premises, where an assembly of law enforcement officers, led by Ledwaba, will move in a convoy to Laerskool Pietersburg-Noord. The might of the various business units within the security cluster as well as the tactical capabilities of the operational units will be on display on the day.
The commissioner will serve his last day of service on Friday, 30 April.
