Mask donation for Flora Park Comprehensive High School

Total New World and Total Auto Stop donated 2 000 masks in an effort to keep the learners safe while at school.

POLOKWANE – “Children are the future and we need to keep them safe.”

This is according to Natasha Engelbrecht, the Manager at Total New World and Total Auto Stop during the handover of 2 000 masks that were donated to Flora Park Comprehensive High School on 9 April.

Total New World and Total Auto Stop is not new to giving back to the community and investing in children’s education as they have donated to many of the schools in Polokwane over the past 10 years.

This is in line with Total SA’s programme that encourages social responsibility and giving back to the community. They decided to donate masks because of the pandemic and the importance of masks in ensuring the safety of teachers and learners in the process of learning.

A thousand of the masks were from Total New World and the other 1 000 masks from Total Auto Stop. Engelbrecht explained that the donation was meant to have been made in 2020 but Covid-19 made it impossible to do so. They will be making another donation later this year for the 2021 programme.

Johannes Raphahla, Manager at Total New World and Total Auto Stop explained that it is an annual programme that they host and they choose the school by assessing the need and where it will be most beneficial.

The Principal of Flora Park, Joseph Ntsiene Masekela said it is an honour to have received the donation. “Thank you, Total New World and Total Auto Stop, may the partnership go beyond this.”
