Noorderland celebrates learners

Noorderland High School celebrated its top achievers of 2020 at a prize-giving ceremony where learners walked away with cash prizes.

Zandile Ramatsoma's achievements are for life orientation, mathematics, six distinctions and overall first place in the top 10.

POLOKWANE – Learners in all grades were awarded based on their achievements at the end of the academic year. Principal, Thabo Ratema exclaimed that the learners had worked hard for their achievements, especially during the distorted academic year due to the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown.

“I am proud of each and everyone of you here for proving your worth and making the school proud. This event is to motivate you to work even harder and become the masters of your own destiny.”

During the event, the learners ascended the stage and received their certificate and prizes before posing for a photo. Learners were awarded with subject prizes, being in the top 10 ranking and for distinctions in their various subjects.

Sebati Mmasekele was awarded junior girl with the highest average, as Dux learner, seven distinctions and first place in the top 10.

Dineo Lebotsa receives a subject prize for technology at 88,7%.

Baoki Aobakwe with her certificate for her 82,5% in English First Additional Language.

Mahlase Phenyo receives a subject prize for social science and economic management science.

Maphuti Ratlou was awarded a subject prize for English First Additional Language.
