Area in Polokwane to be without power for eight hours

The municipality has scheduled an eight hour power interruption for an area in Polokwane.

POLOKWANE – The municipality’s Spokesperson, Thipa Selala, has notified residents of extension 78 of a power interruption on Thursday, 1 April.

Selala said the area will be without power for eight hours, between 08:00 and 16:00.

“The power supply interruption on the Extension 78 supply line is necessary for the electrical team to energise new transformers,” he added.

Selala advised affected customers to treat their electrical wiring as live and to switch off all their appliances during the downtime, to avoid injury and damage once supply is restored.

“We appreciate the patience and understanding of all affected users and urge users who experience electrical issues, to contact the Electrical Helpline at 015 023 5490 / 5705 or send a WhatsApp message to 083 824 9886,” he concluded.
