POLOKWANE – Long-serving teacher at Laerskool Ivypark, Elize Strydom will say goodbye to learners on the last day of April.
Strydom, a Gr 4 mathematics teacher, will leave the school after 28 years of dedication and commitment to the teaching profession.
Ivypark’s Headmaster, Willem Opperman, described Strydom as a true servant and a pioneer in education.
“We will miss her professionalism, hard work and dedication. She was one of the best teachers at the school and she did everything at a high standard.”
Strydom said she will miss the parents, the teachers and the learners.
“I will miss the school. We looked after each other and I enjoyed working with the parents,” she concluded.
