POLOKWANE – The Transport Department’s Media Liaison Officer, Mike Maringa, has confirmed that the R101 has been opened.
Maringa also explained that two people were rushed to hospital, of which one is critical and the other one is seriously injured.
“Fatigue and unsafe overtaking could be the possible cause of the crash. The deceased are two males and a female,” he added.

POLOKWANE – The Transport Department’s Media Liaison Officer, Mike Maringa, has confirmed that the R101 has been temporarily closed.
“The R101 between Shell Ultra City and the Ranch Hotel is temporarily closed due to a fatal accident involving a truck and a 22 seater Iveco. Motorists are advised to use the N1 between Mokopane and Polokwane,” Maringa said.
He confirmed that three people have passed away.
Maringa said more fatalities are likely, and once again urged motorists to adhere to road regulations.
