[INFOGRAPHIC] Limpopo dam levels rise higher than in 2020

The majority of dams levels across the province have risen above levels recorded this time last year. See the dam levels as recorded on 8 March, here: 

LIMPOPO – The weekly Provincial State of Dams report indicates an increase in the majority of dam levels compared to last year this time. This is despite a slight drop in the provincial water storage.

As of 8 March, the provincial water storage stands at 87.8%, compared to last week’s 88.3%. This is still remarkable improvement compared to last years 70.4% during the same period.

In Mopani the Ebenezer dam in Groot Letaba, which supplies majority of the communities around Polokwane, has seen a steady week-on-week increase and now stands at 84.1%, from 78.6% last week. A huge improvement from last year when it stood at 27.4% at this time.

Tzaneen dam saw a slight decrease from last week’s 102.3% to 101.9% this week, while, Modjadji dam recorded a 3.3% increase and currently stands at 84.5%.

In Sekhukhune, Flag Boshielo decreased from 106.5% last week to 102.3% this week.

While Doorndraai dam in Waterberg district indicated a 4.8% increase and now stands at 38.8%.
