[VIDEO] Robbers clear out Lahom in Polokwane, assault security guard

An unknown number of men robbed the clothing store in the early hours of 18 February.

Thousands of Rand in clothes and shoes were stolen from Lahom in the early hours of 18 February.

An unknown number of men assaulted a security guard, burgled the store and then fled the scene.

Police Spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe told Observer that the police are still on the lookout for the robbers.

“Anyone with information that could help in the investigation or lead to their arrests, may contact Det WO Gerard Naude at 072 553 4655,” he added.

The owner of the prominent fashion retailer, Thabo Mohale, provided Observer with the CCTV footage and explained his ordeal.

“The robbers used the same modus operandi as in 2018 when the store was robbed. No arrests were made in that case and these robbers also broke in at around 05:00, therefore I suspect it is the same people,” Mohale said.

In the CCTV footage, the robbers can be seen assaulting the security guard and then breaking into the store.
