Gunmen sought for killing two people at Bothashoek village

Tubatse Police have launched a manhunt for an unknown number of men responsible for killing a 29-year-old woman and 40-year-old man

LIMPOPO – The motive behind the killing of Julendah Nkomo (29) and Rolly Magabe (40) in Bothashoek village on Tuesday night, remains unknown, according to Limpopo police.

Nkomo’s brother woke up at around 22:30 after hearing gunshots, a statement by Police Spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe read.

“He rushed to her room and found the deceased lying in a pool of blood. The assailants had already fled from the scene,” Ngoepe said.

Police and emergency services personnel were called and the two were certified dead.

“Police investigations and a manhunt were then activated and no arrests have been made yet,” Ngoepe added.

The Provincial Police Commissioner, Lt Gen Nneke Ledwaba ordered a 72-hour activation plan for the arrest of the suspects involved.

“Anyone with information that can lead to their arrest may contact Lt Col Richard Boshomane at 079 894 5501 or Det Sergt Cedrick Rapepe at 073 477 8716. They can also contact the Crime Stop number at 08600 10111or their nearest police station,” Ngoepe concluded.
