POLOKWANE – The Olympiad consisted of two rounds. The first took place on 16 July last year with all mathematics learners participating. A total of 27 learners made the cut to compete in the second round of the Olympiad which took place on 10 September.
With plans to participate again this year, mathematics Head of Department, Sonke Dlamini said that they encourage learners to enter.
“Our teachers set aside Olympiad training days for learners by using past papers and video lessons. It is therefore mandatory for all mathematics learners and all those who perform well are encouraged through school merits,” said Dlamini.
