Limpopo’s Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 92.6%

The cumulative positive cases stand at 57 447 of which 53 217 people have recovered from the virus. Here is a breakdown of positive, active cases and deaths recorded in each municipality:

ex: LIMPOPO – According to the latest statistics issued by the Health Department, the province recorded 409 new cases in the last 24 hour reporting cycle. 

Of the new cases reported, 132 were recorded in the Capricorn district; Polokwane municipality recorded 94 cases, Blouberg (16), Lepelle Nkumpi (15) and Molemole (7).

The Sekhukhune district recorded 98 new cases; Fetakgomo/Tubatse (42), Makhuduthamaga (25), Elias Motsoaledi (19) and Ephraim Mogale (12).

A total of 68 new cases were reported in the Waterberg district; Mogalakwena (30), Modimolle-Mookgophong (12), Bela-Bela (10), Lephalale (9) and Thabazimbi (7).

The Mopani district recorded 57 cases; Tzaneen (19), Phalaborwa (18), Giyani (12), Maruleng (7) and Letaba (1).

A total of 50 cases were reported in Vhembe, of which Thulamela contributed 25, Makhado (12), Collins Chabane (7) and Musina (6).

To date the province has reported 1 269 deaths and 2 961 cases are still active.
