3 dead, 10 injured in N1 collision
The N1 south between the Nyl Plaza and Mookgophong is still closed.
According to Mike Maringa, Media Liaison Officer for the Department of Transport and Community Safety, a collision between two sedans, a loading van and truck claimed the lives of three people.
The incident happened on the n1 near Tobias near Mookgophong, earlier today after the driver of a sedan allegedly lost control of the vehicle and collided with three other vehicles.
“Seven people were critically injured and three escaped with minor injuries. All the injured were transported to nearby hospitals for medical treatment.”
Maringa added that preliminary investigations revealed a burst tyre as the possible cause of the incident.
