A well-known businessman, community leader and philanthropist, James Nditsheni Mukwevho of the Vuwani area passed away a few days after being diagnosed with Covid-19.

LIMPOPO – This was confirmed by one of his children, Thendo Mukwevho.

The 68-year-old Mukwevho, the Managing Director of Real Paints and Chemicals and lay preacher of Assemblies of God in Vuwani, died on Sunday, 10 January in a private hospital in Polokwane.

Thendo described his father as a loving and caring man, who extended his help to children not related to him, a philanthropist who felt for others.

“He was a business person, who dreamt of increasing production. As a family, we have dreams of taking his business to new heights as a way of honouring his hard work and skills in mixing and formulating paint himself,” said Thendo.

Real Paints and Chemicals started in 2002 in Thohoyandou and later started manufacturing paints, now based in Vuwani. There are branches in Thohoyandou Thavhani Mall, Tshilamba in Mutale and in Giyani. The company employed over 30 permanent people around his businesses.

Mukwevho was laid to rest on Friday, 15 January in Vyeboom in Ha-Masia under strict Covid-19 regulations.

He is survived by his wife, Louisah, and children, Thendo and Audrey.
