Blessman donates to Ngwana

Ngwana House in Polokwane received a generous number of essential goods from Blessman International.

According to house Manager, Sandra Jansen van Rensburg, the donation comes at a very difficult time for the home.

“Since Covid-19 hit South Africa last year, the home has been receiving fewer donations and help from the community as we have had to instill strict regulations in order to help protect the children from contracting the virus.

“The past year has been extremely challenging with no volunteers or visitors allowed to interact with the children. This has left them frightened and they are scared to interact with anyone other than staff. However, virtual communication was kept active in order to keep parents and families updated on the well-being of the children,” she explained.

The house currently cares for 19 babies of which the youngest is 10 days old and the oldest two years old.

They have the capacity for 28 babies and expecting the home to fill up during February and March as many women called in saying that they fell pregnant during lockdown and will not be able to raise their babies as they have no jobs.

Blessman International is a Christian, faith-based mission organisation working to meet the needs of impoverished children and families in Limpopo.

They are proud to stand by this excellent baby shelter and will be delivering more essential goods throughout the year. Sandra was overwhelmed with emotions when she thanked Blessman International and all the donors for their on going support. She still pleads with anyone who can and is willing to assist the home in anyway to do.
