Limpopo records 1 895 more Covid-19 cases

As of 15 January the cumulative number of Covid-19 cases is 43 648. Here is breakdown of positive, active cases and deaths recorded in each municipality.

LIMPOPO – According to the latest statistics by the Health Department, the province has a total of 8 678 active cases after 1 895 new cases were reported in the last 24-hour reporting cycle. The department said 16 cases are unallocated.

Since the previous statistics, released on 13 January, 26 more Covid-19 related deaths have been recorded. This brings the number of deaths to 728.

The most new cases were recorded in the Capricorn district (542) followed by Mopani (416), Vhembe (414), Waterberg (352) and Sekhukhune (155).

To date, 34 242 people have recovered from the virus.
